Student Engagement Strategies for Online Learning

This session is aimed for educators to learn how you can support student engagement through virtual (synchronous) platforms such as Zoom or Google Duo.

Participants will be able to: 

  • Cultivate connections with students 

  • Learn planning strategies to segment learning and structural considerations to maximize student learning

  • Effectively utilize features of chat boxes, sharing screens, and flipped classroom concepts to support learning for ongoing assessment of learning 

  • Facilitate small group to support student learning of content and concepts

  • Work with students needing one-on-one support 

  • Create an online environment where students are engaged, successful, and equally heard in real-time virtual discussions.
